We try to answer all messages as quickly as possible - but try to understand that we can sometimes get dozens each week, and it's easy to fall behind.

Please note that we will not spend time responding to the following messages:

  1. "I want to become a vampire! How do I do it? Will you make me a vampire?"
  2. "I love your site! Send me all the information you can on vampires!"
  3. "How do I ... ?" (see note)

Reasons:

  1. We don't believe vampires truly exist, in the mythological sense; we obviously can't "make you into one." We're not vampires, and even if we were, it would be kind of hard to turn you into one over the Internet. We respect that you may have certain beliefs, so please be respectful of our choice to not believe in them. We certainly know that there are folks out there that partake in drinking human blood, but we do not condone such a risky activity. Trust us, it does not grant them immortality. But to each his own!
  2. "Send you all the information we can?" You love the site -- but did you actually explore it? We've spent a lot of time (years, actually) and effort making VO as user-friendly as possible, so any info you need is probably just a few clicks away. Please explore VO on your own time, because unfortunately ours can be limited.
  3. If you request info on something that is already explained within the content of VO, then we rarely email you back (ie. "What's up with that new Buffy comic?" or "How many vampire books has Brian Lumley written?"). We've gathered as much information as possible, so most of your questions should be answered somewhere within this website.

If you've had a peek through VO, tried the search engine, and still haven't found what you're looking for, then definitely contact us.

Kiss the blade. . .
Smooth raptured curves
Offer escape and entry
Pulsating, my veins cry out for
Release
A blister upon the
Soft velvet of my heart
Slowly weeps. . .poisoning my mind
With one merciful cut
Could be set free
Merciful
A fist clenched
Around the weak curve of my throat
Thieves the words to make this real
In one joyous stroke
It could be opened
Spilling out as much truth as I am worth

The soft caress
Of blood
On the side of my cheek

*blinks at the vividness of the memories* 'Now why would I be thinking of back then.....that was ages ago.' She looks up and sees Deadend smile and then start cleaning glasses. Koreena stands and moves over to the bar. Sitting down at one of the tall stools, she looks at him.

"Well barkeep", she grins, "Its nice to see you again. Now, what do you recommend tonight?" She spreads her pale fingers over the counter top. "And is there anything you think I should worry about?" Her gaze flickers momentarily to the room the others had been in.

One moment, just one moment
to feel alive and strong
a theory unknown
Books of lies, books of fiction
still I search my mind
an answer Unknown
Body Shock and energy lost
veins showing beneth my skin
now pale in the light
Daylight Nightmare, a zombie, a corpse
sleeping it all away
into sleepless nights
All Prayers lost with time
of an non-existing God
a faith of hate
I've studied it all only to see it's illusion
empty shadows in an empty life
this chapter of unholy truth

My dearest Count,
Oh Lord of night.
Your noble image,
Is a welcome sight.

I have waited, for so long,
I knew you would return.
For your bitter sweet kiss,
My humble neck does burn.

So come my dear,
And drink your fill.
Whilst in your arms,
I feel no ill.

Then leave you will,
I know you must.
But promise me you will return,
For in your word I trust.

The X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Ambiguity of Evil in Supernatural Representations
Recent years have seen a marked increase in the number of television shows with a supernatural bent. The Warner Bros.
