June 7, 2007 (11 News / Jason Whitely) -- Summertime is prime time for teens who like to while away the hours surfing the Web. But that led to big trouble for a Sugar Land girl who liked to hang out on a site called vampirefreaks.com. Dan Miladinovic is charged with sexual assault. Police say that's where she met 23-year-old Dan Miladinovic. He now faces two counts of sexual assault for what police say he did to a teenage girl. "I guess it's really kind of disturbing to think that a 23-year-old can meet somebody online, arrange for a meeting with a 16-year-old, and think they're going to engage in some kind of sexual activity," said Sgt. James Hines with the Sugar Land Police Department. The 16-year-old victim told police she chatted with Miladinovic on the vampire site before eventually talking on the phone. The two met for the first time last Friday at First Colony Mall in Sugar Land. They hung out at Barnes & Noble bookstore until it closed. "They got in his car and drove around a little bit. At some point in time, she started feeling uncomfortable about the situation and wanted to go home," said Sgt. Hines. But police say Miladinovic pulled in to a doctors office parking lot in the 3500 block of Town Center and sexually assaulted the teenage girl in his Mustang. With school out now, police warn parents to find activities for their children other than the Internet. "You're not going to be able to keep them off the Internet and the computer but at least know what they're doing online," advised Sgt. Hines. Police say Miladinovic and his victim started chatting in late April, weeks before the alleged sexual assault last Friday. Though the girl picked his picture out of a lineup, The 23-year-old man has not admitted to any wrongdoing. Sugar Land investigators have experts looking on the suspect's computer and hard drive for any other possible evidence. They have no reason to believe there are other victims, but would like to hear from anyone who says otherwise. Investigators say Miladinovic doesn't have a criminal record.
