For the month of February & March, we're giving away two novels based on characters created by the author Bram Stoker. Both books, bookends of sorts, will be given the member who can correctly answer the skill-testing question below.

The books are:

The Book of Renfield by Tim Lucas
When we first meed Renfied in Dracula, he is a tortured soul in decline, a fly-gobbling, Scripture-quoting lunatic who acts as a haunted harbinger of Dracula's arrival in England. But who was he before these events occurred? Tim Lucas at last brings Renfield's own story to light.

Memoirs of a Vampire Hunter by Peter Allchin
In the late 19th Century, Doctor Reiner returns to England after the horrific death of his new wife, only to find the horror of his honeymooon has followed him. Intent on justice, Reiner seeks out the monster, only to discover the dreadful truth of the identity of one of Old London's most notorious killers!

Two very different books with some familiar characters! To enter the contest, all a member has to do is send Vladimir a PM answering the following question, based on the new photo banner you see at the top of the browser window.

Of the 2 mortals pictured, one is a hunter of vampires, while the other is a hunter of stories. Who are these two characters? A bonus will go to the member who can name all 6 vampires shown, and in what movies or tv series they were in.

The contest closes Sunday, March 30, 2008, and is open to those members 18 and older. Bon chance!

Come night,
Come brooding time of dark desires.

Come dark,
Come cool, safe place in which to hide.

Come lightening,
Come streak the sky with natures blaze.

Come thunder,
Come roar your power to the world below.

Come night,
Come give me life once more.

Kiss the blade. . .
Smooth raptured curves
Offer escape and entry
Pulsating, my veins cry out for
Release
A blister upon the
Soft velvet of my heart
Slowly weeps. . .poisoning my mind
With one merciful cut
Could be set free
Merciful
A fist clenched
Around the weak curve of my throat
Thieves the words to make this real
In one joyous stroke
It could be opened
Spilling out as much truth as I am worth

The soft caress
Of blood
On the side of my cheek

Where the Vampire's stirring in the night takes place,
As he impoverishes the town,
In his quest for sanguine ecstacy!

There are no such things or are there?
This morning I awoke in an utmost stupor!
Two puncture holes above my jugular,
He will strike again tonight!
When the moon is full and bright,
Leaving me almost dead and in agony!

By day the children search for garlic buds,
To be placed in the windows,
