April 26, 2008 (Digital Spy / Daniel Kilkelly) -- Katie Price is set to take on the role of a vampire in a new Hollywood movie, according to a report today.  

Producers of Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, a remake of the classic 1988 film, are keen for Price to star in the role made famous by American actress Cassandra Peterson.

"It's a very good time to be British in Hollywood and you can't fail to notice Jordan - she knows how to shine," an insider told the Daily Star. "Cassandra Peterson has been in talks about a remake for some time but didn't want to take on the role again herself, even thought she still appears as Elvira.

"Everyone was at a loss until they spotted Jordan on a gossip website. She just looks perfect and then they discovered she has a penchant for one-liners. She will have to lose the tan, though. And Cassandra's Elvira worked because of the mixture of her dark image and her Valley Girl wit - so Kate will have to learn an American accent."

Katrina Andrea (although in practice she uses the name "Katie André" née Price; born May 22, 1978 in Brighton) is an English glamour model, television personality, magazine columnist and businesswoman also known as Jordan. Her personal life is regularly featured in British tabloids and celebrity-based magazines. Katie and her husband Peter Andre are currently starring in a new series of their ITV2 reality show.

Vampire controversy hurts proud papa DJ BoBo

April 12, 2007 (esctoday.com / Steve Holyer) -- "The Switzerland I know," DJ BoBo said, "is one that isn't afraid of vampires." The Swiss representative to the Eurovision Song Contest was with his family in South Africa when he took the time to talk to Schweizer Illustrierte magazine about the Swiss petition against his song Vampires are alive. He told the magazine that he is frustrated the controversy went so far; he is sad that the rest of the world is laughing at Switzerland.
