May. 1, 2008 (E! Online / Josh Grossberg) -- Titanic bad boy Billy Zane may go down with the sinking ship that was BloodRayne, if the vampire flick's director has his way. German horror helmer Uwe Boll filed a $700,000 lawsuit Wednesday claiming Zane failed to honor the terms of an agreement to market and distribute the 2005 blood-sucker box-office bomb in the U.S.

The complaint, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, accuses the 42-year-old Zane of breach of contract, intentional misrepresentation and negligent misrepresentation for failing to deliver the videogame-based flick starring Ben Kingsley and Kristanna Loken into more than 2,000 theaters as promised.

Boll claims Zane misused a $10 million advance, which had been meant to promote BloodRayne. Boll says Zane failed to pay up more than $250,000 of the gross earnings and instead kept for himself $450,000 set aside for the movie's distribution.

Despite an estimated $25 million budget, BloodRayne ended up opening on approximately 985 screens and took in a paltry $2.4 million in ticket sales.

Neither Zane nor his reps could be reached for comment.
