I have yearned for tonight for so long,
In nights dark cloak I wait.
How can what we want be wrong?
When all we feel is love not hate.

Here within the stable block,
I nestled in the hay.
Whilst listening for the churchyard clock,
To chime the hours away.

I felt not fearful of the night,
Or anything within.
For he had given me clearer sight,
Of nature and her kin.

Though he was only a humble man,
And I a highborn lady.
We loved as no two others can,
For that was our sweet destiny.

But hark; I hear the clock strike twelve,
The hour had come at last.
Into our future we would soon delve,
And loneliness will be long past.

The footsteps in the courtyard,
Signalled a furtive approach.
But I must still be on my guard,
So in the shadows now I did crouch.

The faintest beam of lantern light,
Fell in through the door.
This little glowing ended my plight,
There stood my dear amour.

His face was like of chiselled oak,
Housing eyes of deepest blue.
Thick hazel locks brushed the cloak,
That hid the body of my love so true.

But something now was wrong I fear,
The sound of running coming close.
There is danger, that is clear,
Discovery or maybe worse.

My lover turned to face the figure,
It was my father full of rage.
He at once raised up a silver dagger,
And stabbed my love, his faithful page.

His body crumpled to the floor,
As mine gave forth a scream.
His pleading eyes into mine bore,
Where went our precious dream?

The lantern also tumbled fast,
And smashed upon the ground.
Onto the flames dry hay I cast,
Soon the fire was all around.

So though my father did his best,
To halt the fierce inferno.
Our strength of love he could attest,
And our fate he did already know.

My love I cradled in my arms,
So close to me I held him.
Death came to us with all its charms,
No more our lives so cruel and grim.

This does my story end you think,
But torment now will never go.
Each night into this scene we sink,
To live again in spectral glow.

So if a ghostly sight you spot,
One cold and gloomy night.
Be sure that harm will touch you not,
Just pity the souls now in your sight.

The lunatic inside my soul reaches out and touching you gently brings forth the blood from your multiple wounds.
Like a cat licking cream off its paw, I taste you and you are ever so sweet.
Like sin melting on the tongue, and the smell of jasmine in the air to cover the scent of you.
That powerful aphrodisiac that leaves me weak and wet.
The kaleidoscope of images from one single dream one single touch.
And I can feel you under my claws and the pain is so exquisite, I want to bleed with you.

From the hinges of night: silence. Except the far-away swashing of the sea, this vast penetrating pulsation of ancient waters on the coasts of the island. Which could be Sicily, or Sardinia, or one of the Barbados. We have no datum points, no parameters.

Out of cold black space came light and earth and water, and out of these came the garden behind my house.

The garden is mine-- or it is me, I'm not sure anymore.

I can walk in my lilac bushes and lilies and the yellow roses and my scalp will be sunburned.
I will wince when I brush my miles of brown hair that night.

I go out on my balcony to look at my garden in the black.
Soon the trellis shudders violently, and he lumbers over the wrought iron rail.
