As I silently fold outwards from within the shadows surrounding the Inn, I take an opportunity to sense if anyone is around. Even though it would take the Elders a good couple of minutes or so before they pick up on my presence, I decide to make it a quick check, since there is so much to do, and so little time to do it in. Hopefully I'm not too late.

After realizing that no one is there, I enter the Inn and notice that the fire is still going; at least Renfield is keeping the place ready for when they arrive. He should maintain his current schedule unless I tell him otherwise. All the better, really, just in case I'm not around to give him further instructions. But I do not want to think about that right now.

Something -- not a sound, nor a voice, nor a vision -- grabs my attention, and I quickly turn to look out the bay window towards the ocean. There is someone down there, and even though the moonless night provides no assistance to my vision, I can clearly make out who it is. It seems as though swimming has become a popular mode of transportation among the Elders. Frowning, I realize that I am not as sharp as I used to be; Demon is but a few hundred feet from the Inn, yet I should have sensed him long ago. "A good couple of minutes, eh Vlad?", I say to myself. Yeah right.

I am not worried, of course, for he is by no means an enemy ... but if he were, I would probably be a pile of ash right now. Perhaps he has just become a more advanced hunter from when I last saw him; truth be told, I am sure they all have. The unfortunate thing is that I have not progressed at all, at least as far as I can tell. This little demonstration proves it.

I make a gesture towards the front door, then stop suddenly. Someone else is also out there ... no, wait -- two others.

I only now realize that I cannot face them at this time. Not like this. They may not notice a difference, but deep down, I suspect they will. And with so many voices calling to me from Eastern Europe, I realize that I must return to my first home, right now. Not a moment can be wasted.

I have already wasted too much time. I knew this day was coming, but I am unprepared nonetheless. I picked a bad time to leave, knowing full well that my old friends are on their way here ... and a couple of them are but a few hundred feet from where I stand.

But the time has come for me to leave, and I do not know when I will return. I can keep in contact with them through Renfield, and I will try to explain later why I had to leave in such a rush. So much time wasted. What a fool I have been.

As the Inn door begins to creak open, I catch a quick glance at Demon before folding back into the shadows, leaving the Inn behind me, along with, I am sure, a rather confused Demon. But I cannot afford to waste any more time. "This time, your lack of preparedness may put a stake through your heart," I say to myself. But for some reason, I do not think I will have to worry about the Hunters this time around.

No, there is something out there worse than them. True, It is a Hunter, but It is also Undead. And the voices are crying out for my help to stop It. And I cannot refuse them.

Greetings from Dracula Land
I've traveled a long way to talk vampires with Dan Matei Agathon, Romania's minister of tourism. As I wait in his cramped anteroom with its tattered wood trim and 1960s-era vertical blinds, assistants flutter to and fro, one of them bearing boxes that look like gifts for some visiting dignitary.

Silent night you embrace me
and Invite me into
your symphony
I feel you run within my energy
and take me to calm
away from daylight
In your womb I lay my complete soul
and dance In your whirlwind
of an fantastic orgasm
And as morning arrives in distant sky
I follow you into sleep
away from all sounds of day
Forever Companion that always awakens
me from within, each night
takes me to the symphony
Forever and without changing
life and death,this is
my home, my soul.......
