An Alp may be a creature originating from German folklore. It is sometimes related to a vampire, but it's behavior is more like that of the incubus. It's victims are often female, and it usually attacks during the nighttime, controlling dreams and creating horrible nightmares.

The reason it is sometimes associated with vampires is because it will sometimes drink the blood from the nipples of men and young children. The Alp in many cases, is considered a demon, but there have been some instances in which the Alp is created from spirits of recently dead relations. Children may also become an Alp if a mother needs to use a horse collar to ease the pain during an extremely long and torturous childbirth. The Alp is said to worship the lords of the "River of Blood." After every feed, they slash there own wrist and donate blood to the river gods.

According to some, the Alp also has an animal form, similar to the creature from werewolf lore. It has also been said that it can fly like a bird, and will ride a horse to exhaustion. They are said to ride on a horse, preferably black, and take the left toe from there female victims.

In almost all accounts and manifestations, the Alp is said to wear a hat, giving it an almost comical appearance.

Chapter 32: Decisions, decisions

*looks at LB as she walks up beside them...watches Demon put both the girl and her dog to sleep and smiles as he follows them back to the Inn*

Very interesting...very interesting indeed.

*as they enter the Inn DE walks to the bar and pours water into a glass and some into a bowl for the dog...then follows Demon and LB up to the girl's room...sets the glass on the nightstand beside the girl's bed and the bowl on the floor for the dog*

Can't have them mistreated, now can we? *smiles* At least not yet.

Chapter 30: Those men!

*wandering over to the window to see what poor little thing the boys have trapped, my brow furrows slightly*

"Those two....all that power, and all that vampyre testosterone! *shakes her head and watches for a minute finishing her drink and tossing the glass into the fireplace for luck*

"Well, I can't let them torture that poor thing...not when she might have something of benefit to me...She might be a good bleeder"

*smiles a bit wickedly and walks down the road towards the group....the girl seems quite afraid and a bit bewildered.....
