catchphrases and words of wisdom have always been popular, from the funny and bizare to the deep and meaningful. Some sayings are past down through friends and family and others appear in film and TV. However some sayings could be said to be inappropriate or irrelevant in modern day life/unlife. we have all heard the famous line from Forest Gump "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what your gonna get." seem like a fair enough saying doesn't it?
Being a fan of witty banter and plays on words I often alter the end of well know sayings to make them more... shall we say humorous. Take for example the above qoute, witch I ( one night at a friends house) changed to "Life is like a box of chocolate, you get half-way through and start feeling sick"
I just wondered (I'm very good at wondering) if there's any famous sayings/catchphrases you would change and what to?
