Hi,
Ive just joined VO, with much curiousity I might add, I have recently become aware of the pracitice of Vampyrism, and in all honest admission, I want to know more. I have read alot of internet related information regarding this matter as I am not sure who to ask or how to ask certain questions about what I want to know. I hope to learn more about this culture.
Any help would be appreciated....
If you have any questions at all just ask on one of the forums, don't be afraid. We are all here to learn and share knowlage and opinions.

So I tortured a few people in the 1400's. Do you know how boring it was back then? I mean, there really wasn't much else to do.
More than happy to answer any questions you may have. Welcome to the VO.

Hi there...
My apologies for the delayed response, my DSL line has been giving me alot of issues...
Thank you all for your willingness to assist, like I've said before, it is highly appreciated...
ok...
1.What is the difference between "Vampyres" and "Vampires"?
>>Based on m research Im assuming that one refers to the "movie scene" and the other is in relation to reality, however if someone could please break it down for me, it would be much easier to digest...
2.What exactly is Vampyrism and how is it different from what the media portrays it to be?
3.How does one go about becoming a Vampyre so to speak?
>>Again based on research, you cannot be "turned" or "embraced", is this true??
4.Does every Vampyre consume blood(or energy)?By what means does consumption take place?
5.Is there any sort of differences in ranking within the vampire community?
6.Is there any awkwardness when interacting with "non" Vampyres(normal human beings)
>>I hope I am not offending anybody when I say "normal", it is just that I am not sure how else to phrase it?
7.What are the major characteristic differences both physically and mentally between human and vampyre?
**I know this is really a mouthful, but I trust gong to people who know what they are talking about rather than just relying on information found on the net(as I have found it to be misleading at times)
Thanks in advance...
Curio
Hi Curio. Welcome to VO.
1. Yes the Vampyre with a 'Y' is referring to someone that practices the lifestyle itself.
2. Vampyrism is a lifestyle or for some a condition. Where a person either believes that they are lacking something that blood or prana can provide, or actually derives some sort of boost from it in a real physical sense.
3. They are not made. You can't 'catch' it unless you hang out with a few of them and begin to believe you are.
4. No short answer for this one. There are Psi(energy) vamps and Sanguine (blood) ones.
5. Some people, seem to think there is, but those are the ones that are narcissistic or just deluded.
6. Not for me, actually I prefer them to Vampyres.
7. Yeah, no short answer for that either. Each person is different.
Heh, I think our awesomely awesome resident vamp summed it all up pretty well...
