Do you follow your's? Do you trust it? What has happened when you didn't heed that still, inner voice?

Ever watch animals? You can tell when a storm is coming or an Earthquake simply by observing them. they trust their instincts as a matter of survival, yet alot of the time We as humans do not. Police officers will tell you that so many times they have heard stories like this one, from a victim of a crime:

" I was going to get into the elevator when the doors opened and there was  a man in there alone. I really got a bad feeling and didn't feel ok about getting in, but I didn't want to appear rude or paranoid so I did anyway. When the doors shut he attacked me".

 Trusting our inner voices can keep us from harm, keep us from making the same mistakes, or even save our lives. so why do you think we try to quell them?

Conscience is not about morality really. We are all born with the inner guidance and senses.  It is not learned as much as the talent for ignoring it is.

 Remember being a child and not wanting to be alone with some relative or friend  at some gathering? Remember what your mom or dad might have said: "You are going to hurt their feelings, don't be rude, go hug them".  We teach ourselves to rely on the external instead of the senses that never fail us.

 Hindsight is 20/20 and I can see where not taking a moment to be silent and hear that small internal voice has cost me.
