June 4, 2007 (Reuters / Helsinki) -- Global warming is bringing more warmer-climate creatures to Finland, including moths that feast on human blood, according to nature researchers.  Insect-watchers are spotting more and more calpe moths in the Nordic country, which used to be considered too cold for the insects from southeast Asia, Finnish nature magazine "Suomen Luonto" reported in its June edition.

November 26, 1998 (The Washington Post) - Blood-sucking vampires may have their history in disease rather than the supernatural, according to a Spanish neurologist. Dr Juan Gomez-Alonso has put forward a novel theory to explain the Dracula legend - vampires were suffering from rabies. The Neurologist hit on the rabid vampire theory after watching a Dracula film.

The sun sets and looks like flames on the water of a bright blue ocean, dimming till only shadows remain and the waters of the world look black and the stars pop out all over the place.


Dew touches the tips of grass blades while crickets sing in the distance. A lone wolf howls from far off and a soft, white rabbit's ears perk up in alarm, barely shadowed in the dying light.


The last notes of a lone bird's song die out as the moon shines silver on the treetops and gives the earth an eerie gleam that's only there when the moon is full.
