There are mysteries which men can only guess at, which age by age they may solve only in part. Bram Stoker

What are the mysteries which mere men can only guess at? Have we finally solved all the puzzles?

"To die, to be really dead, that would be glorious." Dracula

Why would it be glorious to be really dead? What message was Bram Stoker trying to tell us in his tales of Dracula? One of the darkest tales ever to emerge from the mind of man is the story of the arch-Vampire, Dracula. It took Bram Stoker more than 7 years to unravel and re-tell the history and mystery of this ancient tale. In all this time he must have uncovered more than just a simple horror story.

This work investigates Bram Stoker, his life, his friends, his associations and in so doing we find clues to the real truth behind the tale of Dracula. We enter the dark world of the vampire, its past, present and future. We delve into the dark recesses within the mind of man and come away with mysteries only guessed at in each age. We discover that to be dead, really dead, is indeed glorious.

i scream
no words come to mind
the voices
the noise
i can't think
i can't breathe
i scream into an endless hell
no one listens
overwhelming feelings
thoughts
will it never end
i scream
it stops
silence
immense nothingness
i am alone
i am home
i am here

Take it all and leave nothing but bring back the death you stole.
Drink from the life that is no more, eat it up until you drown.
Don't look at me, look at yourself.
Bring it all down into the darkness of your mind until it's lost in your soul.
You're all looking for nothing but you can't get away.
It screams your name from the darkest night.
You try to run but there's nowhere to go.
It's coming closer, closer.
You scream but all you can hear is your heart.

A case in Canada that acquired the moniker, "the vampire murder" during the trial seems to have less to do with vampires than with the public's fascination with vampire-related crimes.

Look up from your
cherry box,
smile upon my
saddened face,
whisper in my ear,
those things you want
to talk about.
I crawl away,
the times I was not
there,
shivering,
I speak out loud.
I don't wanna be here
It is too darn cold,
I just wanna be away,
to where is home.
To my home.
You hold me close,
my day brighter,
I think I might
smile a little more.
We dance under the moon,
the sky our audience.
I speak of truth,
the way we use to lie.

Walking away,
the tattered remnants
of ribbons that bind,
fall to the ground.
A tear escapes
as I watch
the beauty we built together
crumble to dust.
Yet, beneath the sorrow,
a flame burns.
Growing brighter,
it becomes my wine
till I am drunk
with the freedom.
Looking back on the scars
I wore with pride,
a sense of contentment
swallows me whole.
No small regrets,
I will never kneel again.
