The mist glowed with an eerie light,
She held onto his hand so tight.
He looked at her with tender eyes,
And led her firmly on.


The night was cold and chilled her bones;
He spoke to her in soothing tones.
She put her trust in him alone,
And knew she need not fear.


They reached the castles mighty door,
Uneasy thoughts began to soar.
But standing safely by his side,
Her doubts flew swift away.


He pushed the door and walked on through,
