It's over for me...

I walk alone in the darkness as late becomes early.
Far away the sound of a dog barking as I take a full breath into my
lungs. Cool, still air with a small unexpected breeze.
Trees lit from underneath from street lights along my path.

I walk for miles, listening with my eyes, with my skin,

At the beginning of this informational document, I believe it would be courteous to introduce myself. I am Chris Young, a long-time collector of Vampire information. Over the years, through my studies, I have collected quite a large amount of vampire information, both mythical, and factual.

The literary genre known as horror has gone through some changes as of late and, for those among you who cling to the old traditions, these changes do not bode well. However, before going into that topic, it is best to first offer a brief explanation of what the horror genre is about.

From the Darkness someone calls out,
Just to know what this life is all about,
I see the faint outline of someone walking on the shore,
Sometimes I catch sequences of dreams, oh to remember more.

I Swam towards that fading light,
If I had but know that was to be my plight,
"You should stay safe within this place,

Is it any wonder I'm still here,
in this place full of fear?
Escape at this juncture would be futile,

People are afraid of my kind
No one is safe when I am around
I do not sleep at night, I do not ever sleep
I died many moons ago
I am a vampire
The undead

I walk the streets looking for innocent humans
The blameless are always a better kill
Their blood, more health-giving
There's always a chance of an after-life with us
A creature of the night
I am a vampire
