Northern Frights
Review by The Jabberwock, submitted on 15-Oct-1992
"Northern Frights" (Don Hutchison, ed.) 1992. Oakville, Canada: Mosaic Press. Northern Frights is a just released anthology of Canadian horror/dark fantasy with contributions by several famous and not so famous Canadian authors (Tanya Huff & Charles de Lint to name two).
Several stories centre around vampires, there are a couple of werewolf stories, and a whole lot of stories that take place during the winter (geez, are we really THAT cold?). Most of the stories are quite good, although (like any anthology) there are a couple of duds. It's a hardcover, selling for 19.95 Looneybucks.
I'm not sure if it's eventually going to come out in paperback or what it might cost in the States. I'm pleased with the purchase however.
