Karin and Kenta have made up and are now holding hands, but Maki thinks they've taken it to "the next level". A rift between friends needs mending along with some misunderstandings in the latest Chibi Vampire.

Karen no sooner straightens things out with Maki when a new female enters the picture of Kenta's life. The pretty Yuriya is a bit peculiar. She moved into a rundown place but seems to be very interested in what's happening between Karin and Kenta. Just who is she and what is she really after? We don't find out this volume but there are clues in the pages to try to figure it out.

Her friendship with Kenta strikes a chord of insecurity with Karin. Seeing the two together reminds Karin that her love for Kenta can never come to anything because he's human and she's a vampire. This sheds doubt on her time with him and she wonders if perhaps she shouldn't leave him alone to find happiness elsewhere. Maki notices her suffering and grills Kenta for some hard answers about how he truly feels about Karin. It may not be the answer one hopes to hear, but the way he answers leaves little doubt where his affections lie. But will he ever figure out in time how he really feels for the vampire girl who has stolen more than just his blood?

Maki meddles and it leads Karin and Kenta to their first date and it's at the zoo. However Maki isn't the only interfering party. Anju has decided to keep a closer eye on her sister, but whether she means Kenta help or harm remains to be seen. This volume also holds a sweet back story revealing how Karin and Maki first met and became such good friends. It helps the manga leave on a cute note and is followed by several comedic panels to enjoy.

June 4, 2007 (Reuters / Helsinki) -- Global warming is bringing more warmer-climate creatures to Finland, including moths that feast on human blood, according to nature researchers.  Insect-watchers are spotting more and more calpe moths in the Nordic country, which used to be considered too cold for the insects from southeast Asia, Finnish nature magazine "Suomen Luonto" reported in its June edition.

I'm not really sure how to say it,
and I'm not quite positive I mean it,
but it's been resting there
in the back of my head
and I really don't know how to sleep.
My attention is just so far off,
and nothing can shake me out of it,
it's like I'm caught in here
waiting for something unknown
can you show me which way the exit is?
My existance means nothing anymore,
and you're constantly nudging my back,
I wish you would just stop it
quit trying to push me forward

As I stand in the rain
I curse the gods and this killing pain
you took the one that loved me so
as she departs I now must go
I have a life to live
she dosen't have any life to give
we are the same
we are the immortals
we are the damned
the people that are walked upon
fear not my child
for I have the life
and now must give it to you
as you read this do not weep
my troubles are over I now can sleep
my love is here and always shall be
my love is here
my DarkLady
