In San Francisco in 1998, Joshua Rudiger, 22, claimed to be a 2,000-year-old vampire and went about the city slashing the necks of vulnerable homeless people with a knife. He hurt three men and killed a woman sleeping in a doorway, and when one victim's identification led to his arrest, he claimed that he needed to drink human blood. The woman indeed died from a lack of blood.

Walking down the road, Saraphine can feel that she is being watched.

Turning to see who is watching her, she sees the dashing man jump onto the roof of the Inn. And, who looks like the bartender, on the ground watching her.

'Hmm.. wonder why they are watching me? I hope they know I mean no harm.'

Keeping Lovely close, they continue to walk down the road.

October 14, 2008 (The Courier-Mail / Tony Keim) -- A teenager who tried to kill her pet dog so she could drink its blood and become a vampire has been accused of trashing her mum's Ipswich home. Kayler Rose-Maree Scott, 18, appeared before Ipswich Magistrate's Court on Monday morning charged with wilful damage. Scott was arrested over the weekend for allegedly smashing 15 windows of her mother's home.
