Even if it takes an eternity, he will make amends.

Weakest link

When an old friend from graduate school contacts Fred for help with her job at a top scientific facility, Fred feels a mixture of dread about renewing ties to her past and wistfulness for the quiet life she might have led entrenched in her research. But the night they are supposed to meet, her friend is gunned down, the seemingly innocent victim of a mob hit gone wrong. Fred is inconsolable.

Although Angel and the others want to help, they have been called upon to solve a rash of murders among a group of wizards. These wizards are the only ones preventing an apocalyptic breach of the walls separating our reality from other, more-deadly worlds. Fred decides to leave the investigation and take her friend's place as a researcher in order to uncover the truth behind her murder. But when the worlds of scientific research and the supernatural collide, Fred may be the only one who can solve the case and stop the coming apocalypse.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word vampire as "the reanimated body of a dead person believed to come from the grave at night and suck the blood of persons asleep." *blinks at the vividness of the memories* 'Now why would I be thinking of back then.....that was ages ago.' She looks up and sees Deadend smile and then start cleaning glasses. Koreena stands and moves over to the bar. Sitting down at one of the tall stools, she looks at him.

"Well barkeep", she grins, "Its nice to see you again. Now, what do you recommend tonight?" She spreads her pale fingers over the counter top. "And is there anything you think I should worry about?" Her gaze flickers momentarily to the room the others had been in.

It's over for me...

I walk alone in the darkness as late becomes early.
Far away the sound of a dog barking as I take a full breath into my
lungs. Cool, still air with a small unexpected breeze.
Trees lit from underneath from street lights along my path.

I walk for miles, listening with my eyes, with my skin,

Perhaps the most iconic image from Legend is the ravaged Brooklyn bridge, its middle span destroyed by a bomb to quarantine New York in one of the film's crucial action sequences. "The middle span is gone up to the towers, and from the towers on, you can still see the suspension cables, the vertical cables and the deck [from the towers to the shores].
