Life sucks for Dave Marshall.

The girl he’s in love with doesn’t know he exists, he hates his job, and ever since his boss turned him into a vampire, he can’t go out in daylight without starting to charbroil.

Undead life in its uncoolest incarnation yet is on display in this cinematic, supernatural drama told with gallons of humor and hemoglobin.  In striking, colorful, B-movie sty;e artwork and light-hearted, intelligent writing by Jessica Abel, Gabe Soria, and Warren Pleece, Dave Marshall’s story comes alive – in a vampiric kind of way.

Beloved confrere!

I only this moment found your words...and how they doth envelop me.

Warm me forthwith in their familiarity.

This place dissolves to the times when we would gather round the table to partake of the mystical vintage...

That wine was so very good!

Say you have not left this realm my kindred.

Your lingering presence quickens my soul...

I watch for your words of truth...

My dearest Count,
Oh Lord of night.
Your noble image,
Is a welcome sight.

I have waited, for so long,
I knew you would return.
For your bitter sweet kiss,
My humble neck does burn.

So come my dear,
And drink your fill.
Whilst in your arms,
I feel no ill.

Then leave you will,
I know you must.
But promise me you will return,
For in your word I trust.

All around, the mourners gather
My dread grows as the stroke of midnight
Falls against my stained soul
It severs me, and in darkness
My essence drips to the thirsty earth
In abject fear,
I beg for forgiveness
Now alone
My fervent plea falls upon blind eyes
This is my salvation

In America today, we are surrounded by borrowed images. People from all over the world flock here, and bring with them a background of cultures and beliefs, filled with imagery reflecting those ideas. Often times, these elements take on a life of there own in the cauldron known as the American "melting pot," and through interaction with their new surroundings, evolve into something quite different from their original form, becoming an integral part of our culture.
